In school, we are limited to academic and clinical education from our curriculum. We receive an incredible education, but we want to take it one step further. Our goal is to provide opportunities for our members to learn from dentists out in the "real world." From the process of finding a job during D4 year to starting your own private practice, or the behind-the-scenes of a multi-office manager, we believe there's so much to learn about what it means to be a Health Professional.
The Washtenaw District Dental Society sponsored 20 of our students to attend four of their meetings. Our members networked with faculty and dentists in the Ann Arbor area. The September keynote speaker, Dr. Sreenivas Koka, presented on the “Platinum Rule in Dentistry” and the November keynote speaker, Dr. Anjoo Chaudhry Ely gave an introduction to sleep medicine.
